Bjorn Skjoldbye holds a medical master degree from the University of Copenhagen as well as a B.sc in electronic engineering. As a specialist in ultrasound and interventional ultrasound, he has for years worked as a M.D. consultant at Herlev Hospital and in periods served as clinical associate professor at the University of Copenhagen.
Dr. Skjoldbye is currently head of The Ultrasound Unit at the Aleris-Hamlet Private Hospital in Copenhagen and Vice Chairman of the Danish Ultrasound diagnostic Society (DUDS). He is the previous President of the Congress on Interventional Ultrasound, author of 42 scientific articles, a large number of international invited presentations, as well as consultant to businesses, public institutions and others within the field of medical use of ultrasound technology, especially within ultrasound guided minimally invasive therapy.
Dr. Skjoldbye is associated to Mermaid Medical as medical consultant.
