Cassi® Star Breast Tissue Marker

The Cassi® Star Breast Tissue Marker has been developed for enhanced ultrasound visibility. Its star shape, with eight deep cut edges, secures bright reflection of ultrasound waves and is easily distinguished from other breast tissue markers under mammographic imaging.

Due to its non-metal nature, it has low MRI artifact compared to metal tissue markers and has low ring-down artifact in Tomosynthesis.

The Cassi® Star Breast Tissue Marker is made of Polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) Polymers which are used routinely in surgical implants and dental devices.

PEKK provides permanent visibility in all imaging modalities and does not have additional materials that can cause the marker to expand or change form over time.

Proven biocompatibility allows for permanent placement in breast tissue.

The new Tumark® marker system enables precise tissue marking and is easily deployed single handedly. Tumark® Professional enables precise tissue marking. With Tumark® Professional, tumors can be marked in a gentle way and with minimum invasion before cytotoxic or radiation treatment begins. Following chemo or radiation therapy, the tissue area concerned can be reliably and quickly found again. Tumark® Professional is ideally suited for marking a biopsy site. Tumark® Q

The Tumark® Q serves for percutaneous marking in the pectoral tissue. Among other things, the marker is implanted in lesions prior to or during chemotherapy and the location of a biopsy sampling point. The marker is visible under mammography, ultrasound and MRI.*

Breast Localization Systems

DUO System PREMIUM – Repositionable Localization System.

The DUO System PREMIUM is a correctable localization system for mammography. It offers doctors and patients top quality, absolute reliability and highest comfort for the preoperative marking of suspicious tissue. DUO System PREMIUM is particularly user-friendly for ultrasound treatments as it can be used single-handedly. This allows the user to make markings simultaneously to guiding the ultrasound transducer. The removable handle of the DUO System PREMIUM constitutes a real contribution to the mammography procedure: By means of punctures through a breadboard, it allows for a new positioning of the compression plates without having to remove the cannula. If a repositioning is required, the marker wire of the DUO System PREMIUM can be easily retracted into the cannula thanks to its special form. The wire can then be released again in the intended and correct position. The double arches provide firm anchorage in the tissue and therewith prevent dislocations in any direction. The varying features of the wire allow to recognize the depth position of the marked lesion. DUO System – Repositionable Localization System

The DUO System is a correctable localization set for the preoperative marking of non-palpable, suspected mammary lesions to simplify intraoperative finding localization by the surgeon. SINUREP – Breast localization needle for non palpable mammary lesions

With our new Sinurep Breast Marking System, radiologists enjoy the convenience of a complete sterile package including 20G Thin Wall needle, flexible .010” marking wire with a unique marked or stiffened version. The flexible wire can be secured to the patient’s chest, thus enabling the radiologist to perform the localization in an outpatient or private office setting. The stiffened and marked wire provides a palpable landmark, an indication of the wire course and prevents accidental shearing.

Lung Localization Systems

Lung Marker System

Safe and precise marking for minimally invasive interventions
The patented SOMATEX® Lung Marker System is used for the preoperative marking of intrapulmonary, non-palpable pulmonary nodules. This system is specifically designed for video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) procedures.

Why is preoperative marking important?
Small and non-superficial nodules are often difficult to localize during VATS procedures, if no marking was performed before surgery. In this case, conversion rates of up to 46%* from minimally invasive surgery to open thoracotomy have been observed due to failure of nodule localization.

• Technique allows for precise and safe localization of small pulmonary nodules during VATS.

Breast Biopsy Instruments

MorCor® Biopsy Instrument

The MorCor® Biopsy Instrument is an automatic spring powered, full core biopsy device which offers a less traumatic method of obtaining large, intact, diagnostic-quality specimens.

MorCor® is a simple, easy- to-use device intended for multiple percutaneous full-core sampling of soft tissue, tumors or abdominal masses for histological analysis. Soft tissue sampling includes, but is not limited to, kidney, liver, breast, prostate and various soft tissue lesions. The end-cut design of the device allows the entire inner diameter of the cutting cannula to be open to capture a core tissue sample. A coil captures and holds the biopsy sample to be extracted.

The cannula tip is echogenic which provides visibility at UL-assisted procedures. Centimeter markings on the cannula shaft on both the biopsy instrument and the coaxial needle ensures in correct positioning.
